At the end of 2019, after 50 years serving the Upper Arlington Community, Dr. Douglas Hinton will be retiring from his work at Greentree Dental Group alongside his fantastic assistant Linda Scott.
Dr. Hinton has had a remarkable career in dentistry. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and went on to practice dentistry in the U.S. Air Force for two years. He opened his own practice in 1967 and merged with Greentree Dental Group in the summer of 2016.
“After hearing that he was trained by the Army I expected a serious demeanor from him. However Dr. Hinton has a playful and fun spirit. He is kind and witty and I have appreciated the laughs we have shared." - Dr. Craig McKibben
Dr. Hinton is a member of the Columbus Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, The American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Equilibration Society and the McHorris Study Club. He is well respected in the community and our staff has truly enjoyed working with both Linda and Dr. Hinton.
“I personally have learned a lot from watching doctor Hinton interact with patients and staff. He has a rare combination of concern for excellence and highest quality in everything he does; in tandem with heartfelt enjoyment and care for people. His retirement will leave a sizable hole in our lives. Thank you Dr. Hinton! We wish you all the best." - Dr. Jody Kear
At his retirement celebration, our staff enjoyed reflecting on the many memories we have with Linda and Dr. Hinton.
